Product Overview

Thermal management is an important part of embedded systems development. PHYTEC SOMs are designed and tested to operate in the -40 to +85C ambient range. To reach this operating range your end-system might require a cooling solution available from PHYTEC, or a custom cooling solution unique to your system. The PHYTEC Thermal Accessory kit provides several solutions for testing and development that will keep you cool as you launch your product to market.

What’s Included:

PHYTEC Custom Heatsink + Gap Foam

• Custom fitted to contact select components on the SOM, maximizing heat transfer from the components to the heatsink
• Has fins or fingers to maximize heat transfer from the heatsink to the ambient air
• Can provide sufficient cooling in certain environments; additional cooling from the fan is recommended

Commercial Off-the-Shelf Fan

• 4-pin 5V OEM Fan (CFM-3010B-0130-373-22)
• Attaches to the heatsink to provide a substantial improvement to airflow and cooling
• Various models available via common electronics distributors
