This free Yocto meta layer from PHYTEC takes care of that groundwork for the phyCORE-AM68Ax and phyCORE-i.MX8M Plus Development Kits. It configures the MCU_Ethernet interface with the optimized atemsys kernel module, giving Acontis EC-Master direct hardware access and a ready-to-use path to high-performance EtherCAT Master communication.

This Yocto Meta Layer serves to configure the phyCORE-AM68Ax or the phyCORE-i.MX8M Plus Development Kit’s MCU_Ethernet interface with an optimized atemsys kernel module that grants direct access to hardware and improves the performance of the EtherCAT Master Stack Software, EC-Master from Acontis. This is a free add-on for either the phyBOARD-AM68Ax or the phyBOARD-i.MX8M Plus Development kits.
