The phyCORE-i.MX 8M SOM is a feature packed all-in-one solution for multimedia applications that require audio, voice or video processing with the ability to support video playback up to 4k and video outputs up to 60 fps. The module has a BGA interconnect of 501-pins to provide access to interfaces such as dual PCIe, dual USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, dual MIPI CSI-2 camera and displays such as MIPI-DSI and HDMI.
The no-connector BGA style reduces profile to 3.7mm and eliminates the need for connectors. This allows you to solder down the SOM just like any other component in your Bill of Materials.

The i.MX 8M Processor
The NXP i.MX 8M Quad, Dual, and QuadLite are a scalable family of applications processors with 1.3 GHz Arm Cortex-A53 cores as well as a real-time Cortex-M4F core. This processor is set apart by 3D graphics acceleration and video processing capabilities with 4Kp60 with decode High Dynamic Range (h.265, VP9) and encode 4Kp30 (h.264). In addition, the dedicated audio capabilities such as high quality pro audio fidelity and DSD512 allow for speech recognition and voice control integration in your application.
