Product Overview

At the heart of the phyBOARD-AM335x is a phyCORE-AM335x System on Module (SOM), which is directly soldered onto a carrier board PCB. This “Direct Solder Connect” (DSC) of the SOM to carrier board reduces system costs. In Pico-ITX form factor, the phyBOARD is ideally suited for deployment into a wide range of robust industrial applications.

Various SBC interfaces

Standard interfaces include a DB-9 connector for CAN and RS232, 2x 10/100 RJ-45 Ethernet connectors, 1 USB Host Standard-A, 1 USB OTG Micro-AB,1/8″ Audio jack, Power and a uSD slot. Expansion is available on the PHYTEC expansion connector.

Industrial Communication

The phyCORE-AM335x includes support for real-time communication protocols via the PRU-ICSS including EtherCAT®, PROFINET®m Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS®, Ethernet Powerlink™.


Choose between AM335x variants on the same SOM. Need advanced graphics? The phyCORE-AM3359 offers PowerVR’s SGX530.

Small footprint for small enclosures

The phyBOARD-AM335x is 10cm x 7cm so it is compact for small enclosures.
