The kit features the phyCORE-RT1170 System on Module with Zephyr and advanced security. As a crossover MCU, this architecture combines the advantages of a classic MCU with the performance of an application processor, ensuring high computing power and energy efficiency for demanding embedded solutions.

The phyCORE-i.MX RT1170 System on Module combines maximum performance with minimal space requirements: at just 30 mm x 30 mm, it is the smallest connectorized SoM based on the NXP i.MX RT1170. Its dual-core architecture with Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M4 enables it to handle demanding real-time tasks and, thanks to its multimedia capabilities, comprehensive industrial interfaces, and the integration of Zephyr OS, offers optimal conditions for demanding embedded applications in the consumer, industrial automation, and IoT markets.  It features extensive interfaces for industrial applications: Dual Ethernet, 3x CAN FD, and 2x USB 2.0 enable reliable network and device connectivity. Six I2C and nine UART ports are available for peripherals and sensors, ensuring flexible integration into complex systems.

With the integrated security features provided in Zephyr OS, such as SecureBoot, SBoM and encryption, CRA-compliant applications can be easily implemented.
