Spring has Sprung SOMmary

The days are getting longer and the sky is slowly shifting from grey to blue here in the Pacific Northwest. That can only mean one thing…Spring has sprung! What have we been up to this first quarter? Check out some of the highlights and what we’ve got up our sleeve for Q2.

We attended CES in Las Vegas

CES is the most influential tech event in the world, the proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators. This is where the world’s biggest brands do business, meet new partners and shake hands with the sharpest young minds. So of course it made total sense for PHYTEC to have a presence at the show! We sent our Technical Sales Manager and Project Manager to scope out the latest tech trends in this new post-COVID world we’re living in. What were some of the biggest trends we observed?

  • Lidar technology
  • Autonomous electric vehicles
  • Robotics
  • Electric Vehicle Chargers
  • Automotive
  • Virtual Reality
  • Audio/Visual

We collaborated with Texas Instruments for a webinar

In collaboration with Texas Instruments for their webinar series Process This, PHYTEC demonstrated in just 30 minutes how to use 3 of the most common industrial ethernet protocols for machine-to-machine communication. In this webinar we used the PHYTEC phyCORE-AM64x SOM, featuring the TI AM6442 Sitara processor, as the hardware platform. Not only did we target this webinar to an American audience, but we also worked in tandem with our team over at PHYTEC China to promote and present this webinar with Mandarin translated slides in China Standard Time. Co-marketing with Texas Instruments was such a treat, we look forward to more opportunities to collaborate together in the future. In case you missed it out you can check out our recap or watch the recording on our YouTube channel!

Employee Appreciation Day was March 4th and we celebrated by throwing a springtime barbecue in our beautiful backyard! While it’s important to recognize these special days, we appreciate our employees EVERY day. PHYTEC just wouldn’t be PHYTEC without the individuals who make it a great place to work so for that, we thank you.
