Statement re: RoHS Compliance of PHYTEC Single Board Computer Subassemblies
The PHYTEC Technologie Holding AG and its subsidiary companies manufacture Single Board Computer (SBC) subassembly products.
PHYTEC recognizes that the European Union "Restriction on the use of certain Hazardous Substances 2002/95/EC” (RoHS) Directive will become effective on 1st July 2006. This directive will restrict the use of six substances within electrical and electronic equipment as follows:
RoHS Material Maximum Concentration in Homogenous Material
- Lead (Pb), < 1,000 ppm
- Mercury (Hg), < 1,000 ppm
- Cadmium (Cd), < 100 ppm
- Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), < 1,000 ppm
- Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and < 1,000 ppm
- Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). < 1,000 ppm
PHYTEC certifies that the PCBs and solder profiles used in manufacture of our SBC subassemblies shall conform to the RoHS directive. Devices that populate our SBC assemblies are manufactured by third parties. Per manufacturer data sheets, all third party parts used on PHYTEC Single Board Computer subassemblies do not contain substances in concentrations above the maximum concentration values allowed in the RoHS Directive.
(NOTE: PHYTEC has no control over manufacture and documentation of third party parts used on our subassemblies. Accordingly, we can make no guarantees as to the accuracy of this information).
PHYTEC uses a specific line item in our product Bills of Materials to differentiate between standard (SnPb) and RoHS-compliant products. RoHS-complaint products are also labeled as such on external packaging, as well as on the products themselves.
