All PHYTEC hardware is subjected to AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) - including visual inspection as well as functional and electrical test - following assembly. All units passing test receive a unique serial number.

Reliability is crucial to embedded developments, whose life-times are often measured by numbers of years. Mean-time-between-failure (MTBF) evaluates a product life cycle from start to finish on the basis of the components used on electronic systems and subassemblies. Many PHYTEC modules have been submitted to MTBF reliability testing, returning exceptional results not only in terms of reliability calculations but in the field as well.
