SOM Description

The phyCARD-M is a small form factor, OEMable SOM populated with an ARM11 processor. It is compatible to other phyCARD family members due to identical break-out of interface signals per PHYTEC’s innovative X-Arc embedded bus standard. This makes the following resources available at a single, 100-pin connector: Ethernet, USB, UART, SPI, I2C, audio, SDIO/MMC, GPIO, JTAG, display (LVDS) and more.

The on-board MMU supports major operating systems, including Linux and Windows Embedded. Similar to phyCORE hardware, compatible Board Support Packages render these operating systems easily useable across end products in which any or all of the phyCARD series modules are deployed.

The phyCARD is designed to plug into the phyBASE Carrier Board, which provides the physical I/O connectors. In combination with the phyBASE Carrier Board, the phyCARD provides a flexible platform to accelerate embedded designs with its scalable System on Module technology.
