SOM Description

PHYTEC insert-ready, OEMable modules support the engineer in every stage of embedded design: from evaluation, through development and prototyping, to OEM deployment. PHYTEC production-ready modules are designed to be plugged onto customer application target boards. Implementation of the phyCORE-PXA270 SOM subassembly as the "core" of an embedded design allows developers to focus on target circuitry and firmware development.

The phyCORE-PXA270 module is based on XScale technology, which delivers advanced peripheral integration, high-performance multimedia acceleration and superior power savings. The on-chip MMU supports major operating systems, including Linux and Windows Embedded CE. The phyCORE-PXA270 is an ideal solution for space-sensitive, low-power applications.

The standard phyCORE-PXA270 ships with a pre-programmed Linux or Windows Embedded CE 6.0 image. Source and Binary Board Support Packages (BSPs) are also available.
