Expansion Hardware
PHYTEC Carrier Boards featuring an Expansion Bus take the PHYTEC modular
concept one step further. Just as PHYTEC Carrier Boards break-out all
applicable signals from the underlying System on Module, the
Expansion Bus breaks out all applicable signals from the underlying System on Module to high-density Molex connectors on the Carrier Board.
Add-On Hardware connects to all applicable Carrier Boards that offer an
Expansion Bus.
Add-On expansion boards such as the GPIO provide additional hardware - including LED arrays, a DC brushless motor, potentiometers, push buttons and peripheral device connectors - to simulate and test controller features on the underlying modules. The mini-I/O is a downscale version of the GPIO, while the Bare PCB expansion board enables easy implementation of user-designed peripheral hardware and circuitry, as well as break out of controller signals, on its wire wrap area.
GPIO - General Purpose I/O BoardConfiguration: PCM-989 with patch cables The GPIO offers quick and easy demonstration of many features of the microcontroller populating various phyCORE System on Modules that mount on the Carrier Board. Multiple GPIO devices enable input and output testing. |
mini-I/O Expansion BoardConfiguration: PCM-987 with patch cables Connects to all Carrier Boards with 1x160-pin Molex connector expansion bus to which all implemented phyCORE module signals can be routed. |
