Description
The PCAN-PC card allows the connection of a CAN bus to a laptop or to a desktop PC with a PC Card slot.
The PCAN-PC card package includes device drivers for Windows® 7/Vista/XP (32Bit), the PCAN-Basic API, and the PCAN-View CAN monitor software. Linux drivers are also available.
Features
- Slot-in card for the PC Card slot
- Type II model, maximum 5 mm in height
- Transfer rates up to 1 Mbit/s
- Compliant with CAN specifications 2.0A (11-bit ID) and 2.0B (29-bit ID)
- CAN bus connection via D-Sub, 9-pin (to CiAŽ 102)
- NXP SJA1000 CAN controller, 16 MHz clock frequency
- 82C251 CAN transceiver
- Hardware can be reset via software
- 5-Volts supply to the CAN connection can be connected through a solder jumper, e.g. for external transceiver
- Optional galvanic isolation on the CAN connection up to 100 V, separate for each CAN channel
- Dual-channel version available
