Description
The PCAN-PC/104 is a very compact and powerful PC/104 "stack-through" module supporting connection and simultaneous operation of two CAN networks in a PC/104-system. Populated with two (optionally one) Philips SJA1000 CAN controllers and 82C251 transceivers, the PCAN-PC/104 supports both 2.0A and 2.0B CAN standards. Connecting the PCAN-PC/104 to PC/104 systems is very flexible, as 14 different I/O addresses (200h –3A0h) and 8 interrupt-addresses (IRQs 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 15) are available. The different I/O-IRQ-addresses on the board can be selected via jumpers. The PCAN-PC/104 is delivered with DOS and Windows software and sources for user end-programming.
The PCAN-PC/104 supports easy and cost-effective connection of two different CAN networks from a single PC/104 systems. Simultaneous operation of multiple PCAN-PC/104 adapters in a single PC/104 system is also possible via interrupt-sharing. CAN connectivity is enabled by two separate DB-9 connectors, whose pin assignment conforms to CiA specification DS 102-1. The PCAN-PC/104 includes PCAN-Light drivers for DOS, Win 9x/ME and NT/2000 and the PCAN-View monitoring program for Windows.
