Description

PEAK PCAN-MicroMod Motherboards represent a family of implementation-ready CAN or CANopen I/O systems suitable for a wide range of industrial control applications. Typical characteristics of this product group include a wide supply voltage range and the protective circuit for the inputs and outputs.

Each motherboard comes with a PCAN-MicroMod installed and is enclosed in a compact and robust aluminum casing. Firmware included in the MicroMod CPU module handles all input/output processing and CAN communication and each is completely configurable using the Windows® PCAN-MicroMod configuration software. The PCAN-MicroMod evaluation board is also available to jumpstart custom development.

Features

In addition to the specific features detailed below, both versions are completely configurable with the included PCAN-MicroMod Configuration software for Windows® 7/Vista/XP (32/64-bit), communicate through high-speed CAN and have aluminum casing with spring terminal connectors. An optional DIN rail fixing option is also available and units with CANopen® firmware are available upon request. Contact PHYTEC for more information.

Analog 1 Specifications:

  • Operating voltage: 11 - 26 V
  • 8 analog inputs with the following properties:
    • Pull-down circuit
    • Measuring range unipolar, 0 - 5 V (10 bit)
    • Measuring range extension optional
    • Protection against under- and overvoltages
    • Parallel connection of one digital input each (alternative use, e.g. for keys)
  • 4 analog outputs with the following properties:
    • Voltage range 0 - 10 V (based on 8-bit PWM)
    • Output current 15 mA per channel
    • Short-circuit protection

Analog 2 Specifications:

  • Operating voltage: 11 - 30 V
  • Software low pass filter can be adjusted by means of configuration (1 - 1000 ms)
  • 8 analog inputs with the following properties:
    • Bipolar measurement range, high-resolution +/-10 V (16-bit)
    • Protection against under- and overvoltages
  • 4 analog outputs with the following properties:
    • Voltage range 0 - 10 V (based on 12-bit DAC)
    • Output current 20 mA per channel
    • Short-circuit protection
