Description
Field busses are used for communication between industrial hardware devices. Up to now sequencing control was left to specialized software developers. The PCAN-Developer package presents the "missing link" to a problem-free connection of CAN hardware to PCs by leveraging advances in, and simplification of, software development within a Windows-based environment using such tools as a Visual C, Borland Builder, Delphi, Visual Basic.
The core of the PCAN-Developer is a Windows-based Dynamic Link Library (DLL). The contained API functions make it possible to communicate with the system driver and, by extension, appropriate programs under C, Pascal Visual-Basic and Delphi. The system driver supports any PC hardware manufactured by PEAK-System Technik, ensuring hardware-software compatibility. The PCAN-Developer package contains detailed documentation with source code examples. For development purposes, the driver contained with all PCAN hardware allows easy connection of PCAN devices to a CAN network. applications.
The PCAN development tools PCAN-CPL, PCAN-Nets Configuration and PCAN-Status Display are included to enable easy configuration and visualization of a CAN system. The unlimited number of device driver licenses is an additional feature. The PCAN-Developer runs under Windows® 7/Vista/XP (32/64Bit) and supports all PC-CAN interfaces made by PEAK.
