CAN Development Software

PCAN-Basic

PCAN-Basic is a software API (Application Programming Interface ) included with every PEAK PCAN-PC interface purchase which allows the development of simple CAN applications for communication with PCAN hardware.

PCAN-Light

PCAN-Light is a software API (Application Programming Interface ) which allows the development of simple CAN applications for communication with PEAK PCAN hardware. Not recommended for new development - use PCAN-Basic instead.

PCAN-Developer

Sophisticated CAN software system from PEAK for designing and operating distributed networks. Communication is based on a Windows ring-0 driver (VxD/SYS) and allows for interrupt-driven receipt of CAN messages including time stamp. Includes unlimited driver licenses.

KDI Labview Drivers

Two specific Labview drivers from KDI Digital Instrumentation, one supporting PCAN-Basic and one supporting the PCAN-Evaluation and PCAN-Developer APIs from PEAK.

QNX Driver

QNX driver from BitCtrl Supports all variants of PCAN-PC/104, PCAN-PC/104plus, PCAN-PCI and PCAN-ISA by PEAK.
