Description
The PCAN-Explorer 4 is a Windows-based universal monitor for control of the data stream on a CAN network. The PCAN-Explorer shows the data traffic in a CAN network quickly and clearly. With the software it is possible to create your own identifiers for easy and clear messages assignment, as well as to create macros and to record and save data traffic over the network, so that the processes can be displayed and analyzed at a later time.
Optional upgrades expand the functionality of the PCAN-Explorer 4 - PCAN-Plotter, CANdb-Import and PCAN-UserPanel. The PCAN-Plotter is a continuous line recorder enables graphical representation of CAN data with any desired number of channels. The CANdb-Import enables reading of CAN files, useful to anyone who does not want to rewrite their entire data base in Sym-Format by hand. The PCAN-UserPanel enables graphical representation of information in the form of analog and digital display instruments. The integrated potentiometers, switches and sliding controls enable generation of signals on the bus as well.
The PCAN-Explorer runs under Windows® Vista/XP (32 bit) and supports all PC-CAN interfaces made by PEAK.
PCAN Explorer V4 Features

- Specified presentation of received symbols according to message-ID, distinguishing bytes and variables
- Supports wide range of data types, including float after IEEE754, option to select byte-sequence according to Intel and Freescale format
- Symbolic definitions are clearly arranged, integrated editor permits user-friendly creation and handling of symbolic files and syntax/error control
- Configurable integrated data logger
- Creation of macros in Visual Basic script, integrated editor
- Access from macros to all program elements via the PCAN-Explorer object model
- Simple connection of external tools
- Connection of AddIns for expanding functionality
- Browser for networks, active symbols, symbol files, macros etc.

CANdb-Import (Add-in) Features
- Opens CAN files
- Can select individual messages from a CANdb file
- Stores configuration data (CANdb file name and filter)
